Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire continues with the next challenge:
Memory preservation- Mini Books
Our challenge was to create a mini album choosing from several different techniques as presented by the various design team members.
The full details of the challenge can be found
HERE.
So, here is my take on the challenge. School is just around the corner and what a great reason to create a mini book for Connor's 4th grade year! I always take a picture of him on the first and last day of school to see how much he's grown! I love the fact that I can add on to the little book as the year goes on! I was inspired by Betsy Veldman and Ashley Cannon-Newell's techniques so I decided to combine the two techniques into one book!!
My nickname for Connor is "Peach", so what a perfect little stamp to use for his 1st day of school picture!
I thought it'd be cute to incorporate pockets as Ashley did out of envelopes to house little notes or mementos. When Connor was in FIRST grade, I found a note in his pocket from a little girl in his class. She had written her phone number on it with a note that said "call me". Can you believe it starts in FIRST GRADE now!! OMG!! LOL!
So the inspiration for this little page came from Melissa Phillips, as she used the pocket die on her mini. I thought it'd be cute to jot down Connor's height, weight and special interests on the first day, then do it all over again on the last day to compare how he's changed in the course of 9 months.
So, there you have it (for now)!! I will post the finished book at the end of the school year! Papertrey ink has so many innovative products that make scrapping so much easier and stylish, such as the card base-ics #2 die that was used to create this album. You can order this die
