Ever feel so uninspired? I look around at all the other talented scrappers out there and compare it to my work and it makes me just want to throw in the towel and give up! I think I need to take a break for awhile. I haven't been too crazy with any of the layouts I've done lately. I look around and wish I could be more like this person, or that person. Will my style ever click for me? I think I'll take a week long sabbatical from scrapping and then come back and not look at anyone else's work and make something of my own.
How did it click for you? I'm still waiting for my "click".

WOW do I hear you ! I feel the same and I have been feeling that way for some time know.
But I don't want to take a break I just want to get much better :-)
I don't agree with you ...I think your pages do click and you got that X-factor that I lack.

Yes, take a break. Read a book, watch some mindless TV, go for a walk, or head to Barnes and Noble. I laid a LO aside once for MONTHS but when I came back to it, I loved how it came out!
Burnout is so easy... I usually get it where photography is concerned... Since I don't get to scrap alot... But everyone goes through the blahs... And you have been going really hard for really long.. You need a break...
Remember how I told you when I finally WON at BP.. How I went through a lull.. I couldn't figure out why.. I figured I would be more psyched than ever.. but NO.. I think that may be you.. You have been trying for SO LONG to get published... Now you have... You met your goal... RELAX... Enjoy it... Put it away for a bit... Your creative juices WILL flow again..:)

A break is always good for the soul. It helps get you refreshed. Don't fret, though. You are a talented lady.
Hey girlie!
You've been tagged! So make sure to play along and check out my blog!
Agreed. A break is always good. Do something else that you like. Fill up your spirit! Then, you'll see that your work is awesome and you'll be able to go at it again!
It was just a week or two ago that I was frustrated with feeling unsatisfied with many of my layouts. There wasn't anything really wrong with them. I just didn't love them.
I think it's normal to go through a phase like this. It means it's time to shake things up and do something different. So far I've been really happy with my latest three. I'm sure you'll get your mojo back as well.
I totally agree with you. When I make a layout or a project for myself I love it...but do a contest like KMA, I feel like I stink!! When you come up with a good answer, let me know.
Don't be so hard on yourself, your layouts are GREAT!
I say--Don't worry about what everyone else's work looks like! Just do it FOR YOURSELF!! When you free yourself up with that attitude, the mojo usually comes back!!!!
